310S Stainless Steel Coil: The Ultimate Guide
310S stainless steel coil is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless steel, which has been developed in order to improve the mechanical properties of grade 304 stainless steel coil.
The composition of 310S is similar to that of 304L stainless steel coil but with additions of molybdenum, nickel and manganese.
The mechanical properties of 310S are superior compared with 304/304L. It also has improved ductility and toughness due to the addition of molybdenum, nickel and manganese. The thermal conductivity of 310S is lower than that of 304/304L due to the addition of molybdenum which slows down the rate at which heat is lost from the surface when compared with 304/304L.
